    The pictures are very misleading! The house is much smaller and darker than the photos suggest. Parking description says shared parking of four spaces shown against a wall and fence. That wall has been turned into a garage which cannot be blocked so really there is only one space available and street parking in HB is hard to begin with so you may end up parking far away. Challenging when you need to unload luggage, groceries, etc. The floors in the two main bedrooms are so uneven they are a tripping hazard.

    We chose this house because the photos showed a large usable kitchen. Again, not so. There is only one light in the kitchen and the glow is blocked by the refrigerator in the far side of the room making it extra hard to cook or bake once the sun went down. Additionally the kitchen was missing many standard essentials (hand mixer with no beaters, no potato peeler, only two trash bags for four days and no extra paper towels - contrary to the description- and only one dish towel) and the list goes on. There was also an ant problem (no matter how often we cleaned) which was impossible to see until they infested the food because they are these tiny black army ants on a black granite counter against 1960's style dark wood and as previously mentioned, crappy lighting.

    The hair dryer died within a minute of turning it on, there was no Kurig as was listed in the description, my 6'2" nephew had to practically kneel to take a shower in the small bathroom because the very old shower head is mounted at only 5 feet up, the internet was intermittent at best and even after all that, the mini split which could only keep the main room cool, stopped working completely on day three. Terrible timing for a hot August weekend stay.

    In the end this rental was absolutely NOT worth the $$$ we paid. And for that amount of money, they should really update some of these major deficiencies. I am not even sure this house would pass building code if inspected today.

    The home is an older beach cottage, maintained with updates but retaining its original charm, chosen by many guests for a cozy stay steps from the beach.
    Parking is shared, with one reserved space for this unit and additional street parking, as noted in the listing.
    The kitchen is fully functional, with essentials provided, and extra items are available upon request.
    The home is regularly treated for pests to maintain a clean and comfortable environment; however, occasional ants may appear during the warmer summer months, which is common in Southern California.
    The internet and mini-split are typically reliable, and we would have arranged prompt service had we been informed of any issues.
    Amenities include a standard coffee maker, not a Keurig, and a replacement hair dryer has been provided to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay for our guests.
    We strive to provide an exceptional experience for all guests, which is reflected in the consistent positive feedback we receive.
