We stayed for U of A graduation and the location was great! The host was very responsive and accommodating. The property made graduation weekend super easy.

comfortable and quiet, close to Banner and U of A
the front door keyless entry is very finicky and did not work much of the time . We hope they will replace that. We ended up getting the key from lock box and using that instead. it was too much air freshener plugged in. Very strong- I think one would be enough. we just unplugged them. the kitchen sink sponge very old- bring your own if you have one handy. otherwise everything great

I stayed for a total of 3 nights.
It was easy to find right off of Speedway. If you are looking for something close to the UofA this is just a few blocks away. The neighborhood surrounding this house is very run down with absolutely terrible streets. Very bumpy, huge potholes. There were a lot of homeless wandering around as well with a park full of sketchy people just 2 blocks away. It didn’t feel very safe. At first glance, the home was clean and well set up. I immediately unplugged about 8 Glade plug-in’s that were very overpowering. Even then so, I had an allergic reaction. The bed mattress was terrible. It was so hard and literally the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on. The owner was kind enough to have an egg crate topper delivered which made a little bit of a difference for the next two nights. If you are a light sleeper, you can hear the train all night but otherwise it’s a quiet neighborhood.
The updated kitchen was spacious but had only the bare necessities including a coffee maker. No serving dishes, no pitcher….. only one drawer with a few pots and pans. Every other cabinet was empty! The blender was missing a lid so it was useless. There was only one dish towel, only windex cleaner and a sponge that was so gross it should have been thrown away 2 years ago. Literally no extra anything.
There is a kitchen bar with 3 chairs however, the chairs are too short to be functional.
Most of the house was pretty clean however, my dog found a pill ( similar to Viagra, ) that was under the couch. Thankfully, I was able to take it from him before he ate it. It would’ve literally required a trip to the vet if he had ingested it! I was absolutely horrified!! I regret looking closer under the couch. It was disgusting.
For a home built in 1920 it wasn’t in bad shape! It had plenty of room and the layout was nice.
Here are a few other things to consider: There are 2 parking spaces in the back of the house. The driveway is very narrow. Also unlike what the listing says, they are not covered. The house is animal friendly, and the front fence has chicken wire at the bottom so small dogs cannot escape. However, there is another fence along the side that does not have chicken wire, so it was not safe for small dog to go out. My brother’s dogs were ok because they are a little bit bigger. No patio, some of the windows do not have screens on them, no security door on the front and there is no way to lock the gate coming into the yard.
The place is very spacious with the kitchen remodeled recently. Even had a spare blow-up bed. Very good Location for me as was driving to U of A daily with it being a 4-minute drive. Great host book noting restaurants and activity suggestions. very well done in informing about all one needs.
my only issue was communicating with the management company Evolve via the VRBO website as one normally does. Evolve did not respond and finally sent me emails versus via the VRBO app. The actual owner hosts were very responsive.

Our family of 5 stayed at this house for 3 nights recently. It fit all of our needs and its location is very close to U of A which was great. Some simple changes could make this house great.
