The negatives: when we booked in October property owner (Doug) said WiFi would be installed by January. When we arrived- no WiFi. Doug blamed direct tv. He made no effort to get WiFi during our months stay. We paid significant extra phone charges to access the internet. The phone Verizon Connection at this house was poor and we frequently lost the connection. We missed out on important meetings and missed obligations because the owner did not provide WiFi. There were dirty pans, dishes and glasses. There was rotting produce in the frig and the freezer was dirty. We found dirty clothes and towels under the bed.The positive: nice neighborhood and very quiet. Everything basic (toilets, showers, tubs, sinks, chairs, beds) were functional and comfortable. Local property managers -Barbara and John- were very helpful getting cable to work and fixing a leaky water heater.Bottom line: we would love to stay here again- if the property owner gets WiFi and adequately cleans the property.

The negatives: when we reserved the property in October for our one month stay in January the owner (Doug) said WiFi would be available when we arrived. When we arrived in January the WiFi was not hooked up. The owner blamed direct tv. We asked him numerous times to get us access to WiFi. Nothing happened. We spent significant money to access the internet through our phone. More importantly we were not able to attend on line meetings because the Verizon Connection kept failing. Also, we found rotting produce in the refrigerator and the freezer had not been cleaned. Dishes, glasses pans and silverware had not been washed. We found dirty clothes and towels under the bed.
The positives: the house is in a nice neighborhood and very quiet. The chairs and beds were comfortable. Showers, baths, sinks, lights and appliances all worked. The local contacts - Barbara and John (who Doug referred us to) were very helpful in resolving a leaking water heater problem and helping us access direct tv.
Bottom line: we would stay here again only if WiFi was provided and the house was cleaned properly.
The place was charming in a 50s style. Many of the original fixtures in the house remained. The neighborhood was great with folks standing in the street and yards talking to one another.

House is is need of updates (new flooring, paint, cleaning out personal items and clutter, more silverware and cookware) and some repairs. Nice, quiet neighborhood for extended stay.

Jean, thank you for your review. Doug, the homeowner, has asked us to pass along the following message:
"The ranch house is an artist's home and many of his paintings are still hanging. With a large walled backyard, bbq, citrus tree, and patio tables and chaises, we find few guests spend a lot of time inside. We are planning a kitchen update with a new stove and fresh utensils, new paint, and a few updates. The house is deep cleaned after every guest's visit and the 50's modernism feel is attractive and warm for nearly all of our guests. This is not a granite and steel cookie-cutter home. It's a one-level comfortable respite that opens up to the warmth of welcoming guests to the Sonoran Desert habitat and warm temps."
Best, the Evolve Team
The small ranch was the perfect size for 2 people. The accommodations were fine. The neighborhood was a little "iffy" - was not comfortable walking there but we felt very safe in the home. The location was great in terms of sight seeing. The bathroom tub does not drain very well. That was my only complaint besides that the blinds in the living room cannot be opened. has a fantastic orange tree on the property. I would stay here again.
