Unfortunately I cannot recommend this property. During our weeklong stay we had several issues. The house advertises a fire pit & there isn’t one, the inside fireplace doesn’t turn on, the inside heater needed repair so a repairman came to fix it…which cost us a day waiting for him to come. The air filter appears to have never been replaced, & was removed but not replaced by the A/C repairman. The owners offered to refund one day of our rent but gave us half of a day. This house needs a major deep cleaning & several repairs…we left a punch list for the management which they did not address. 2 of the doors would not lock..and if you enjoy dust & cobwebs this is your place! Patio furniture needs power washing…we have previously enjoyed 3 other properties in Torreón so keep looking!
Hi Rebecca, we’re sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet expectations. We value guest feedback and followed up with the homeowner, who wanted to share the following:
- Thank you for bringing this to our attention. There is a portable fire pit that is occasionally provided, but we will double-check the listing to ensure this is clear.
- The heater issue was caused by an unexpected power surge in the area, which also may have impacted the fireplace. We were notified on day 4 of your stay, and a technician was sent out the same day to resolve the issue. The property manager offered to wait for the technician so you could enjoy your time, but we understand if that wasn’t convenient.
- When you made us aware of the issue with the door locks, we promptly responded and the issue was addressed and remedied the same day.
- As a gesture of goodwill, we refunded you the nightly fee for one full night, not half of a night as you mentioned.
- The property is a true cabin in the woods, and while we do regular cleanings, outdoor elements like dust, cobwebs, and pine needles can accumulate. We’ll work with the property manager to ensure the outdoor furniture and cobwebs are addressed.
- We take cleanliness seriously and will follow up with the cleaning team to ensure the home is always in top shape before guests arrive.
- We encourage guests should they have any questions or concerns during their stay to reach out to the Guest Contact immediately for prompt assistance and resolution.
Thanks again for sharing your experience.
The cabin was very clean and welcoming. The neighborhood was wonderful and a perfect place for our family!

We love staying in Torreón and have rented several other properties there but unfortunately we were disappointed in the quality and cleanliness of this home. First impression not the best- large cobwebs all over the front porch and door, electronic door code did not work…when we called property contact, we learned that they “have been having trouble with that and it needs to be replaced”…seems like that should have been done already. While moving in, we noticed the place was so dark but that was because all of the lights in the kitchen were burned out. Even if the specialty light bulbs were there, we couldn’t have replaced them as most were high overhead ceiling lights. Management did get them fixed the day after we notified them but then we could see that the kitchen was also covered in some cobwebs. Pretty clear that the house had not had a deep clean in quite awhile. The first time we tried to use the grill, we noted that was also very dirty but not that it mattered because the propane tank was empty..not too many places in Show Low to get propane on Sunday at 6:00! Finally, the listing did note that there was parking for one vehicle in the driveway but failed to mention that there is no overnight parking on the street…the listing should be updated to clearly state that guests can only have one vehicle.

The canine was very nice and clean. The cabin was fully stock with house hold needs. The kids loved it and love how friendly the neighbors were and how there trail to walk. Everything was near by grocery store, to restaurants, lakes and anything else you may need. There were so much things to do. Overall a great stay

We so enjoyed celebrating our 40th anniversary at the Spruce Lane Cabin. It was beautiful and so comfortable. We loved the pine ceiling, hickory kitchen cupboards and the log bedroom furniture. We had a very relaxing time. We are so blessed and grateful!!
