• Family Thanksgiving Weekend

  Our family recently stayed at this large, but cozy, multilevel cabin for the long Thanksgiving weekend. We wanted rustic charm with modern amenities, and this place delivered!

  The layout was perfect for our large group.

  We were able to be together, without being on top of each other. The main floor had a spacious kitchen and dining area which includes one of the two inviting fireplaces. The well equipped kitchen made meal prep a breeze.

  The deck offered plenty of seating, a hot tub for relaxing and a fire pit where we made s’mores and talked into the night.

  The cabin was very clean, and the host was responsive and helpful. We’re already planning our return!

• Wonderful Place

  We had a very comfortable and peaceful stay. We saw a lot of elk and some javelin. The place had all the extra’s, even smore fixings and wood for an outside fire. The beds were very comfortable. Hot tub was a bonus. Host was very accommodating. Loved the place!!!

• Overall good but definitely some issues

  Basically the house was good for our visit. In the description of the house it said there was air conditioning. However, there was not air conditioning. There was an evaporative cooler. This system is much different than air conditioning because it push the air past pads of water and this provides the cooling. It actually did keep the main part of the house comfortable. On the lower level of the house where two of the bedroom were located, no cool air came through the vents. Instead we tried to open windows to let cool outside air in. However, in one bedroom the screen did not fit properly and in the second bedroom the screen had a large hole. Since we did see a scorpion in the house we were not willing to leave windows open. This made for very uncomfortable sleeping for our guests. Also on the upper level there was little cooling. Our grandchildren who were planning to sleep up there found other places to sleep. This was very disappointing since one requirement that I had when choosing a house was that it had air conditioning.

  Also the description said the house had 3 full bathrooms. To me this means that there is a tub and shower in each bathroom. Two bathrooms had showers only and they were tiny. The third bathroom did have a tub and shower. However, we could not get the shower to work. Water would come out the spigot but we could not get that to switch to the shower. Many attempts were made.

  I also have other complaints but this space did not allow me room to enter.

  Wonderful veiws and neighborhood. Plenty of space for the whole family. Elk visit everyday. Beautiful home with all the amenities!!
