This cabin was the perfect stay north of Payson for my family and dog. Between the heater, fireplace (pellet stove), and space heaters in the rooms, you'll be warm and there are plenty of beds.
One hidden gem about this place: the backyard has a fairly tall fence (to keep your dog in) with a small gate to a
massive open wooded area.
The owner of the place was nice enough to call in the morning with some tips. The cabin is conveniently located just 15 mins away from snow and lakes near Greater Tonto Rim and ~20min from food in Payson. WiFi was strong enough to get work done.
The only (minor) drawback I could think of is that the property mgmt co charges a pet fee that's not listed on VRBO, but otherwise a perfect stay! Will def be coming back next time we're in Payson :)

heater fan motor bearing going bad. very loud while heating. unable to sleep with it on. found mold in cabinet base bottom the dryer was out of order just a few things but being able to have peace and quiet in the house was only obtainable. if we did not run the heater and it being winter time it was pretty cold without it property manager was available and did explain why the dryer was recently broken. said the heater was just serviced but definitely fan motor needed to be replaced otherwise the cabin was nice. area was quiet for the most part as well

Hi Richard, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
- Thank you for your input on your stay at our cabin. We appreciate the feedback.
- Regarding the fan noise, we investigated and discovered that the fan bolt had loosened. We promptly tightened it, effectively eliminating the noise.
- We've resolved the cabinet mold concern, and our cleaner has been diligent in maintaining our high cleanliness standards.
- The dryer has been replaced with a new one. We were in the process of doing so during your stay, but due to weather conditions, we were unable to deliver and install it until after your departure.
We sincerely value your insights and strive to provide the best guest experience possible. Thank you for booking with us.
Cabin was great in every way possible!

This property was EXACTLY what we were looking for. We were looking for a property near the Mogollon Rim that had easy access to the forest. The cabin was clean with plenty of room for our group. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the pots, pans, and utensils we needed. The owner called before we checked in to make sure we had all of the information we needed. The kids in our group really enjoyed running around in the forest and playing the board games that were available in the cabin. The last day it looks like the new cell phone tower went on line as we suddenly had 5-bars of service! We plan to come back again!!
