We had a great stay. The cabin is cute and had everything we needed. There are more kitchen utensils than other cabins we have rented so that was a huge plus. There is no AC (which is the norm) but also only one ceiling fan. It was comfortable most days though. We had a great visit!!

It's making me write a full review to leave 5 stars. It was great would go back. Accurate listing.
This was our first time renting this cabin. We are yearly renters and I was a bit disappointed. We knew the cabin did not have AC but was advised several fans and 2 cooling units were available. Only one of the cooling units worked for just one night. The other didn't work at all. Several of the portable fans did not work. All of them were absolutely filthy! The stairs leading up to the porch are very dangerous for little ones. My 18 month old grandson slipped through the very wide gaps between the steps. I had listed i had 3 children staying and there was no attempt to clean the little outside play house for them to enjoy. Covered in dirt and spider web. My family will continue renting cabins in Munds Park but will not be renting this one in the future.
Hi Heather, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize if you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs. The listing states the property does not offer AC. The temperature in Munds Park can reach the mid-80s, so most guests are comfortable being in a shady pine tree-covered area without AC.
- There is a large ceiling fan in the loft of the cabin that truly cools down most of the home. If guests close off their bedrooms and don't open any windows at night, it could get a little stuffy. We will ask our cleaner to make sure to wipe down the portable fans for our future guests.
- We go above and beyond to provide a comfortable environment for guests, and we're sorry to hear about your experience with the steps at the cabin. The stairs out front do have a 2 ½ inch rise and are open between the steps in the back, although they are not very steep, and we’re sorry if they caught you off guard.
- We do our best to keep the outdoor area clean, however, if there are a few days between guest check-out and the next check-in, it is certainly possible for Mother Nature to affect the outdoor area once our cleaning crew has left.
- Considering the little playhouse is located in the forest surrounded by trees, it's understandable that you may have noticed some dirt and bugs around the playhouse. However, we have decided to remove the playhouse to avoid any further concerns.
- We always work with guests if issues arise. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
This is our second time coming to this cabin and just like the first we enjoy it very much! It's perfect space and location from my aunt's cabin down on lodge Drive. Borrachos is in walking distance and the community is safe and lots to do. The cabin was stocked, clean and inviting. We will be back!
