We didn't Evan stay here because of the bad vibes all around. The landlord lives 5 feet away. The house did not look like the picture. The lady was super creepy. The road to get there was super rough. Only space heaters. The lady was very strict with rules and where we had to park. Not to flush toilet paper. Paid 300 for two nights and didn't Evan stay 5 minutes. Would rather call it a loss then stay there..
Nothing was as said really and picture was probably over 10 years old nothing like what looks like now. And was no sofa or loveseat or stuffed chairs to relax in kitchen chairs and dr office like chairs best chair was one desk chair. Spiders and cave crickets and poison ivy . No Wi-Fi or hot spot offered when asked said didn’t have. Was told to wipe butt once put in toilet and anything after that put in trash. No camp fire or use kayaks if wind blowin at certain speeds she said. Only smoke in fire pit area was full of dry leaves and 10 year old dried out logs to sit on. We smoked on our tailgate and used our ashtray safer. Was reserved 1st to 6th we left first thing on the 4th. No view but 10 x 10 area with trees cleared out with fire pit in the middle and only sky view . Took updated picture of the one posted need to get new photos and of the inside also. Plus long time renters had family in at the same time we was there. Was like the basement apartment with concrete floor smelled musty and had spiders and cave crickets in it. Tried to get us talked out of using AC said was cool enough she thought!! Was treated like children we are 51 and 52 years old . Will probably never book again online like this again. Was our first time doing so and was the biggest disappoint we have had . Been coming to this area for 22 years and never ran into anything like this in all of places we stayed. Stayed at one resort for over 15 years but sold out last yr. Was trying to find us a new place

Hi Danelle, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
- While furniture may have been rearranged, our recent, professionally captured photos accurately depict the property. These images allow guests to make informed decisions about the home's ambiance, decor, and furnishings before booking.
- Our country location means occasional critters and spiders, though poison ivy is absent. We were puzzled by the mention of it.
- Our listing offers Wi-Fi via a hotspot on request. Additionally, the home has a septic system and we provide instructions for proper usage.
- For safety reasons, we restrict fires and kayaks in windy conditions. Apologies if this affected your stay.
- The logs around the firepit were harvested six years ago from tree removal during construction. They've been repurposed for seating as shown in listing photos.
- The property's charm is rustic, not modern, with unpaved roads and a clear view of the night sky around the firepit. The ground-level home features polished concrete floors with a dehumidifier in place.
- Over the 4th of July weekend, upstairs family celebrations may have impacted your experience, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
- The AC wasn't pre-set as the home felt comfortable prior to your stay, however, guests do have access to the AC if needed.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
Secluded and peaceful
