This was a wonderful stay with my family. Excellent layout of a lake cabin, including the great room set up for entertaining.
Kitchen was wonderful to cook in, I think the only essentials I couldn’t find was a cheese grater.
The fenced backyard was really nice to have for the safety with little kids and dogs. Two queen beds and a hide a bed. This is such a gem of a place!
FYI. I would let future guests know there’s two-steps to take down from the main entrance to the kitchen and living room. Making note of this is important, as we had my Uncle looking up to appreciate the beams and fell hard on an outstretched hand resulting in a fracture.
Everything was as the listing stated. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall a nice place to stay. Personal rep. eventually responded to text & email. (To their defense information on the backup generators and emergency services should probably be included in the listing)
Questions I should’ve asked prior:
Are all entrances coded to your individualized code?
Is there anyone else onsite while you’re there? Where is the manager located? When was the last time the water was tested, treated and/or replaced? (Not just the floating ball)
Is the fenced yard secure? Are there any places where my pup can get out of the back yard? Are there any hazards I should be aware of (sink holes from soft ground, garden fencing to get tangled in, charcoal from fire pit)?
What kind of 1st aid kit is available? Is it adequate for being 10 miles from the volunteer FD & 38 miles from the hospital? If someone fell through the ice in the lake, is there a ladder or rope accessible?
Is any of the furniture broken?
What is the pump that is consistently running every 10 minutes for?
And if you’re considering overlooking trip insurance read the fine print. There are things that could impact your stay/travel (earthquakes, volcanic eruptions & ash fall, sink holes, landslides).
The property is well kept and beautiful with a view to the lake. My family enjoyed our stay. It had everything that we needed. We would for sure book this vocation home again. Hottub was a bonus.
