Kathy's home was a great spot in Soldotna. Convenient. The beds were comfortable and the house has everything you need. A big bonus is she has some gear available to borrow for fishing! She also has a large freezer that we were able to use to store some fish we caught. Would recommend!

Conveniently located close to the Kenai River for excellent salmon fish as well as great halibut fishing (which is just a 45 minute drive away), this property is an ideal location with household supplies minutes away in Soldotna. The kitchen is fully stocked with above average cooking and dining supplies. For a family of six adults, one bathroom, and the lack of a dishwasher was a bit challenging, but, because of all the other amenities, that was certainly not a deal breaker.
The entire home is a delight of Alaskan decor, comfortable, clean and very well appointed. The large upright freezer provided plenty of room for hundreds of pounds of filleted packaged fish and the outside barbecue is a great convenience.
Kathy, our host, was always available, quick to respond to any need that arose, going well above and beyond.
We look forward to returning to this property in the future

We came to the Soldotna/Kenai area to do some dipnetting. This home is in a great location to get to the Kenai River within 15 minutes where the boat launch is. It is also very close to Centennial Park where we were able to clean all our fish. We did bring our boat with us and the turnaround for that was tight but doable.
The weather was lovely and there is a nice front patio with a table. We spent a lot of time in the sun out there while at the house. There is a barbecue which we did not use but is a nice feature.
The house was very clean and comfortable. There are two couches and a couple of recliners which we enjoyed using. We watched a couple of DVD’s from their collection which was relaxing.
We cooked all our food and it was stocked well with dishes and cooking items. The only thing I wish they had was a dishwasher.
There are a few places to sleep and the beds were comfortable.
It was nice to be able to wash our fishing clothes and everything else while there.
They have a nice entry area where the washer/dryer are to hang up coats and other items. We were very happy to be able to use the full-sized freezer for all the fish we caught after we processed it. That was a major bonus of this house for us.
Overall great house to stay in.
We were impressed with the cleanliness and the impressive decor. The Bed was very comfortable. One of the best vacation rentals we have stayed at a lower cost. We would highly recommend this property for its comfort and cleanliness!Ron and SueEugene, Or

Man, I don’t know where to begin 😌. Well, first and foremost, the host was very nice, friendly, courteous, and helpful. It was my first time in Alaska so the host help me out with nice places to visit. The host’s home in my opinion was very nice and comfortable, so homey I didn’t want to leave and it’s not far from either cities. Even tho I work in the oil refinery and barely had time, I must say that the time I did had, I can truly say that it was worth it. If anyone is traveling to Soldotna/Kenai, Alaska and looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend this place.
