The checkin process was rough as I wasn’t given any of the door codes prior to our arrival. I had to contact customer service to get into the property which wasn’t fun after a long day of travel. The property was nice and as advertised, the beds were comfortable. With the long hours of Alaska sun it would have been nice if the rooms had blackout curtains, it was difficult sleeping when the sun was still shining late a night. The only real issue we had was the lack of kitchen/cooking items. We had a large group and we cooked at home for most meals, there is only basic items available such as a couple pans and very few utensils. We had to pay out of pocket for basic items like a pan for the oven and mixing bowls. The neighborhood was pretty rough, we heard gunshots and people fighting out on the street. The building was secure but we did worry about the safety of our rental car. Overall a decent experience, and the hosts left a bowl of snacks and a handwritten note which was nice.

We loved that the host was very helpful in having us check-in early because my family and I had taken the red-eye flight to Anchorage. The host was very communicative and easy to get ahold of, which was alleviated my stress of arriving before check-in time. What was also great about the property was it had all been redone and had new/nice flooring, new appliances in the kitchen, and the security to enter the building and apartment was reassuring. The whole property also has security cameras outside for additional safety. There's also a Walmart two streets over and within walking distance. There's a convenient store and Buffalo Wild Wings across the way. Lastly, the hosts were very nice by giving us a welcoming baskets with snacks and a personalized card. Our overall stay was great and we'd stay here again when visiting Anchorage.
