The house was conveniently located to pretty much everything.
The house was also well stocked. My room had four sturdy pillows...in other places that I stayed, there was typically two pillows that looked fluffy until lay your head on it, than they were flat as pancakes. There was also a full size washer and dryer, laundry detergent, bath robes and lots of towels.
There are also two parking spaces, a carport and enclosed garage. We had a mid-sized SUV that fit perfectly. A larger car might need to park on the street.
The yard was amazing. Although we didn't spend much time in it, there was an outdoor deck with table and chairs and a large garden that's taken care of by the owner, who lives next door. He stopped by to say hi, gave us a tour of the garden, at our request, and gave us freshly picked rhubarb.
The property is conveniently located within walking distance of the city center, and it was a quick Uber from the airport and to the train station. The neighborhood was nice and felt safe. The closest grocery store was about a 10-minute walk.
The house was built by the owner's father as we learn from the owner. He introduced himself and brought us some of his fresh catch of the day and some vegetables from his garden which we enjoyed very much. The layout of the house worked out well for our family and everyone had their own space to enjoy.
This was our first time in Alaska, and we were pleasantly surprised. This house was a great homebase for our many adventures. We plan on coming back to Alaska and will be sure to stay here again when we visit Anchorage.
All as perfect
