  • Simply perfect stay!

    We had an enjoyable family getaway at Farmhouse by the Bay.

    We travelled with a toddler and a baby and this home had everything needed and more for us to have our relaxing, enjoyable time as a family.

    This was a much-needed getaway to just relax and also to celebrate my husband‘s birthday and host some family & friends for a barbecue and dinner.

    Our toddler had plenty of books and toys to keep him busy and engaged.

    Large projection TV made for a real enjoyable movie night.

    The fully enclosed private backyard was great for some campfire and s’mores, some games of cornhole and just lounging on the deck.

    Used the large outdoor table and seating area to have our meals. The beautiful, serene atmosphere and green backdrop was so welcoming.

    Outdoor peaceful atmosphere made for a perfect coffee experience in the morning.

    Varieties of different birds come to the feeders and the bird water bath in the front gardens. There are some squirrels that came to visit the birdhouses as well! Our toddler enjoyed watching them!

    Books on backyard birds and local wildlife were very useful to identify our visitors.

    The tub was luxurious spa - like experience in the primary bathroom suite.

    Luxurious, 100 % cotton linens in every room made for comfortable sleep.

    The house also has plenty of books and reading material, board games and puzzles to have a family night in.

    Kitchen was fully equipped and stocked with everything and more to cook our meals.

    Plenty of cookware, serving dishes, glassware, silverware, spices.

    Toddler-safe, durable bamboo dishes and cups are great options to have as we didn’t have to worry about broken dishes.

    We also went to Canada for some delicious donuts and sushi and a family pool. This home is so close to many restaurants and coffee shops. British Columbia is just few minutes away over the border to explore and enjoy other cuisines and cultures.

    We made use of the sauna spa/ hot tub. Spa robes and plenty of towels are provided at the house.

    We made some great memories as a family!! Thank you! We will be back!!

    The farmhouse was clean and well equipped with many amenities including hot tub, sauna, entertainment center, and exercise equipment. The hosts were attentive to our needs and very gracious. Kitchen was well stocked although oven wasn’t working. Hosts went out of their way to accommodate by having a portable oven for us to use and we did the best we could to adapt.

    We appreciate your suggestion regarding earlier check-in time. We actually made our check-out time later @12 pm (instead of usual before 11 am) in consideration for guests with children to have ample time to pack up upon checking out.
    We can certainly accommodate if there are no guests same day.

    My family had a great time! We were close to everything, the house was comfortable and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in birch bay! And the fresh bread was amazing!
