  • A great family getaway cabin

    5/5

Our family loved staying here. The cabin was very clean upon arrival and easy to navigate. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked for our needs. The grounds are peaceful and fun to explore. We had plenty of room for our family of 8 adults and two small children and can fit more in the future when we hopefully return. The surrounding community is full of hikes and caves to explore. The town is very friendly. We loved our time here and hope to be back again.

  • Nice home but not as expected

    3/5

The home was nice. The environment was tough to deal with and we viewed it as spring. However, the conditions were of winter. That is something that should be better communicated as far as the dates that you could expect winter conditions. The amenities in the home we’re not as expected a washer dryer that could barely manage one person, a kitchen stock that was decent 12 forks for 12 people but lots of pots and pans just all over the place towels for 11 people when we had 12 a water heater that could not keep up with our part. after four people the hot water was gone and it would take one hour per person to have hot water after that a wood-burning fireplace that had to be cleaned out by the tenants trash that had to be removed and taken a mile away by the tenants dishes that had to be completely cleaned upon check out food removed from the fridge 100% upon arrival the floors were full of crumbs There was a lot of ice on the stairwell and in the front block area but not enough salt to de ice.

    Manager's Response:

Brett, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback helps us understand where we can make improvements to ensure our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’re glad to hear you found the home nice, though it’s clear there were several areas that fell short of your expectations.

Understanding the environment and seasonal conditions at Duck Creek Village can indeed be crucial for planning a pleasant stay. Our village, located at an elevation of 8,500 feet, experiences a longer winter, often extending into early spring with snow-covered landscapes.

Regarding the amenities, we’re sorry to hear that some aspects did not meet your needs. We aim to stock the kitchen to accommodate the full number of guests our home can sleep.

The water heater is of residential capacity and can be challenged with successive use by large groups if used for long durations.

Safety is a priority, and we strive to ensure ample supplies for dealing with winter conditions, including salt for de-icing. After reading your review, we found salt was still available and we encourage guests to be cautious as icy conditions are out of our control.

Our cabin rules, including expectations for checkout, are intended to help manage the property efficiently and keep it in good condition for all our guests. We understand that some expectations, like taking out the trash to a designated area, may be inconvenient, and we're grateful for your cooperation. We strive to be upfront about these policies, and I apologize if they caught you by surprise.

We sincerely apologize for the aspects of your stay that were not as expected. We’re committed to making the necessary adjustments to ensure our future guests have a more seamless and enjoyable experience. We hope you’ll consider staying with us again, allowing us the opportunity to meet and exceed your expectations.

  • Excellent

    5/5

The property is absolutely stunning! It exceeded our expectations, even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The highlight was the spacious balcony and the convenience of having two access doors to the outside. The kids adored the bunk bed room, while the teenagers had a blast in the game room. Although the buckhunter game wasn't working, it didn't dampen our experience. We spent a fantastic New Year's Eve weekend here and found everything we needed. The cabin was impeccably clean and cozy. We can't wait to come back!

One thing to note: check the propane in the outdoor grill the minute you get there. Don’t wait until all your food is prepped and then realize it’s out. On a holiday. When everything is closed. ;)

  • First annual cousin trip to Utah

    5/5

We came to Utah for a Park City wedding and decided to extend our stay to visit the national parks. We wanted to stay in between Bryce and Zion. Also, we were looking for a large home to enjoy after our hiking we loved your Duck Creek Village home. Yes, it is about an hour’s ride to Zion and from Bryce, but it was worth it. Came back home and had cocktails on porch at the fire pit table and cooked our own dinners in the spacious kitchen. Then retired to the living area with a wood burning stove and large tv.
