  The property was a in a good location and had lots of space. It would been perfect if the place was actually cleaned and maintenance was completed prior to our check in. I think the place was not used for a while and the Owner rented it to us without visiting it or cleaning it. It was evident nobody cleaned as mice poop was all over the kitchen including the counters, window sills, drawers, cabinets and mixed in with the utensils, plates and pots and pans. It was also in the master bedroom dresser drawer and all over the extra blankets, sheets and pillow. There was hair in the sink and cobwebs in the shower. There were also a lot of general maintenance issues. Due to these issues, we spent a lot of time outside of the cabin including eating out. The Property Manager did come up one day and clean some dishes and vacumn some of the poop. However, it was still all over the place including the counter, drawers and bedroom. I tried to resolve the issue with the Owner but they refused. They offered a small incentive. I have now contacted VRBO for a solution. Due to all these issues, one kids slept in the master bed with me and my wife while the other kids slept on the bean bag. This is a nice cabin and it would have been fine if they just visited the property and sanitized/cleaned it prior to renting it. My wife does not want to stay in a VRBO anymore given there are no sanitary and safety laws like hotels have to follow. I really hope the Owner reviews this and fixes this issue.

The cabin was cleaned and refreshed prior to your arrival. When our local guest contact was notified of your concern, they responded promptly by returning to the cabin to rewash dishes and thoroughly clean and sanitize the kitchen drawers. Our team checked in to ask if anything further was needed at that time, and no additional requests were shared. Additional concerns were later communicated by email and were reviewed carefully. To help address the inconvenience, a partial refund was provided, along with a refund of the cleaning fee. We hope these measures helped offset your experience, and we remain committed to maintaining a well-cared-for and comfortable home.
