  This home had some big plusses,,,and equally big minuses.On the plus side: Super close to the airport and very conveniently located. It was delightfully decorated and very fun. Parking was easy and right in front. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. If you what you want is easy and aesthetically pleasing - this is your place!The cons: While it touts itself as a small owner business, it's run by management company that clearly isn't invested in the details. Many basics were missing: only one hanger between both closets, no carafe for the blender (only a base), no laundry soap, no kitchen towels, the dish rack only had an old moldy sponge and was covered in a thick layer of brown sludge, no plastic wrap or bags, an ironing board but no iron, no bath mat, no extra blankets for the beds (each had a very thin coverlet and sheet only). I ended up going to the Target a half mile away to buy what was missing as the property manager wasn't.We knew it was a claw foot tub, but I wasn't expecting the curtain to be oversized and hung so tightly - when closed it was nearly impossible to shower without the curtain touching you, which is pretty gross as it was clear it's not cleaned between guests. Admittedly, this is a personal bugaboo and when combined with the heavy dust on the bathroom ceiling vent I was feeling not great about the bathroom.Pro tip: they strangely don't include this information anywhere, but there is a recycling bin on the neighbor side of the house.

• Such a wonderful home!

  My husband and I (and our 2 pups) had a wonderful time! This home is clean, fun and the retro decor is on point! The communication has been great also, they text back ASAP with any questions or concerns. The home is equipt with literally anything you could need! We particularly loved the hot tub, the lights change colors and the curtains for privacy was a nice touch. Having a washer and dryer was great also because when we got home all of our laundry was done and ready to put away! The only small issue was the tub/shower is difficult to maneuver around in, maybe they could put some 'grippies' on the bottom at least for safety and a smaller shower curtain liner that didn't take up so much room in the tub. All in all, it was a GREAT stay and it is in a great location. Only about 15-20 mins from the Riverwalk, the Alamo, the Japanese Tea Gardens and much more. We will definitely be back!!

• Nostalgic fun

  Fun place to stay, especially with a kid. Showering in a claw foot tub takes some skill. I should have considered that for my husband with bad knees.
