San Antonio Home w/ Pool, Near Lackland AFB!

  We rented this house because it was close to the base and had room for our family while attending our son's AF BMT graduation. We wanted a place where we could wind down and relax with our airman while he was on liberty and had good reviews. Yall lied! This property was close to the base but was in a shady neighborhood close to the interstate. Most houses around this one were in shambles and had bars on the windows. This property definitely has some MAJOR foundation and water damage. All of the floors were warped with visible water damage underneath and were squishy when you walk on them. It smelled like someone either died in the house or it has a serious mold problem. We had to go buy candles and air fresheners just to be able to tolerate the smell. When we arrived we quickly realized that there wasn't enough bedding for the pull out couch or cots. We contacted the property manager and he did bring us more sheets but we felt like this property should be equipped with extra bedding to accommodate all of the sleeping options. The pull out couch is in the game room and so close to the VERY heavy pool table that it can't be pulled out. We tried to move the pool table but it is not attached to the legs and made this difficult. The fan over the dining room table has a light kit hanging literally by a wire. The fan in one of the rooms is so loud that we couldn't sleep with it on. The pool has major foundation damage as well. See pics below. Bunk bed has beam across it.

• Great place close to Lackland

  We stayed at the property four nights while we attended BMT graduation at JBSA Lackland. The house suited our needs wonderfully. Location is Very close to base to make commutes short. Great outdoor and indoor spaces for gathering. The bathrooms are definitely on the smaller side but were clean and functional. Kitchen had kitchenware to prepare and plate meals. Enjoyed our stay.
