• Beautiful Home, but Cleanliness and Pet Issues in a No-Pet Rental

  The house itself is a 5/5 — quiet, beautifully designed, with a great layout and an excellent location and view. However, the cleanliness on arrival was disappointing, used towels, dusty surfaces, dirty bathrooms, and marks on the sheets and bathroom rugs (which had been turned upside down to try to disguise them). The owner responded quickly and offered to have the home re-cleaned, which was appreciated. On arrival, there were multiple indications that a dog had recently been in the house, including a noticeable dog smell in the master bedroom that persisted throughout the stay — especially disappointing since this is advertised as a no-pet rental. I have allergies, so this made the stay uncomfortable. The issue was confirmed on the last morning when we discovered a dog bed and toys hidden under the master bed directly below where I was sleeping. A real letdown.

• Amazing BEACH experience

  The home is super cute and has all the comforts of home. The home is decorated in a beach theme and it located 6 mins from the beach and close to all the museums and restaurants. They have a informative binder with all the things to do in Rockport. We were there with our daughter and grandkids we had a amazing experience with our host.
