    Couldn't check in because manager had not added d my name to list. Spent over an hour on the phone with management company while sitting at the gate after a long trip waiting to be allowed into propertyI had to call customer service to get code to enter the house. Again, waiting at the door afterWaiting at the gate, to get code to get inThe house was hot. AC couldn't be adjusted. Stains on rugs everywhereOnly 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom for a 2 day stay for a family of 6. There was no dishwashing detergent. Had to buy that. There was only one roll of paper towel for the entire house for a family of six for two days. I had to buy that as well.The outdoor lights did not work. we could not enjoy the balcony because it was pitch black because there were no lights management never responded to my inquiry about broken lights. There were old stains on all of the rugs. There were no basic kitchen amenities like salt and pepper, adequate flatware, or cookware. There are only 3 keurig cups for coffee for a family with 5 adults. I had to buy that as well.

    From the owner: “Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I’d like to clarify a few details to provide context for future guests.
    - The delay at check-in occurred because additional guest names were never provided, despite a prior email request. For security reasons, all guests must be listed to gain access to the community. The door code and full check-in instructions were sent via email before arrival, and once the correct information was received, access was promptly granted.
    - Regarding the home itself — the thermostat is functioning properly, and instructions for adjusting the temperature (minimum 70°F) were shared during your stay. The outdoor lights are in working condition and were verified when you contacted me after 10 p.m. that evening.
    - We strive to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hospitality, and our team will review your feedback about supplies to ensure expectations are aligned with our standard provisioning for short stays.”

    The house was fine. They did not have our name listed at gate, so we had to call and go in a circle 3 times to check in through the gate. We talked to the property manager everyday because the AC unit kept changing the thermostat to 72. The bedrooms on the bottom floor were very hot. She even sent us a delivery of 1 fan to make it better. We were using 3 bedrooms and she sent 1 fan. IN JUNE in LOUISIANA!!

    We want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    - The home is located in a secure, 24-hour gated community, so all guest names must be provided in advance for gate access. The delay occurred because the name on the reservation didn’t match the name of the arriving guest, but once the correct name was given, access was approved right away.
    - For temperature comfort, the A/C system was inspected and confirmed to be cooling properly to 69°F, which is actually below the recommended minimum of 70°F.
    - We’ve equipped the home with ceiling fans in every room and two portable fans, and we personally delivered an additional fan during your stay to help keep things comfortable.
    - Just to clarify, the home is located in Texas, not Louisiana, but we know it can get just as hot and humid in either state!
    Thanks again for staying with us and for taking the time to share your experience.

    The home was clean and spacious. We appreciated the nuances there. They provided books and some games for the children to enjoy. The boys loved the basketball game. It was a great place for us to stay.
