• Brussel Sprouts & Tablecloths

  Upon arrival, we were so excited by the beautiful cabin set back in the woods! Not only is it a beautiful setup and location, it’s close to amenities!! We played pool, used the swing on the porch and got excited about the nighttime hot tub visit!

  When it was time for the hot tub, we were hit by the most disgusting smell. Cooked brussel sprouts and rotten veggies. EEEEYUUCCCKKK. After a quick google search, it confirmed that the hot tub hadn’t been cleaned properly and the chemicals weren’t added. By the second night, the water was green and murky and not useable. We have three boys so it was the main event. Bummed to say the least.

  Well…. why was it tablecloths in the review too you ask? The only thing more disappointing than the hot tub was the rough tablecloths that were on the bed. They were stiff and uncomfortable all night. We also were missing any of the sheets or pillows for the pull out couches which defeated the purpose of getting this cabin as we had to shove all three boys in one bed, much to my 13 year olds disapprovement.

  The cabin is lovely and the location is awesome. Even the tablecloth sheets could have been ignored but the comfy beds and lack of being able to be able to use the hot tub were a big bummer.

  • Hot tub: I’m sorry it wasn’t usable as expected. I want to share that it was drained and cleaned before check-in, and I’m adding an extra water-quality check right before arrival going forward.
  • Linens: I’m updating our bedding standards so sheets feel soft and comfortable.
  • Sofa-bed: I’m making sure the pullout linens and pillows are fully stocked and easy to locate before check-in.
  • Communication: I’m tightening our on-stay support process so guests can get quick help if anything feels off.
