  It was a nice cabin in the woods. It was mostly what I expected when I booked it. We enjoyed the ping pong table and the grill. The kitchen is equipped well enough and the upper and lower floors were spacious. The pictures are technically accurate but they have been modified to make the property look lighter and brighter than it really is. A few things to note when booking this cabin (that didn’t affect us too much but may affect others)- 1) If you have a guest who is taller than 6’2” they will inlet hit their head on beams and fans in this property 2) the room with the three beds is downstairs and the stairs are small, steep and uncarpeted and inappropriate for those unsteady on their feet such as the elderly or small children.

  The actual cabin doesn't look like the pictures. There was no a/c and it got really hot especially on the very top floor. In addition, we had to take our garbage to town. The location was excellent and the scenery was nice. I did try to communicate with the host three times and he only responded to the first email.

  - The home is represented as accurately as possible in the listing, with photos that reflect the current layout and furnishings. The homeowner confirmed no changes have been made that would affect the appearance shown online.
  - Most homes in Cloudcroft, including this one, do not have A/C due to the cool mountain climate. Daytime highs average around 80°F, with nighttime temps dropping into the 60s. To help with airflow, the upstairs room has windows for cross-ventilation and a fan, and every room is equipped with ceiling fans.
  - Like all homes in Cloudcroft, this cabin does not have trash pickup service. The town provides several large dumpsters where guests can dispose of their trash. This is standard practice for the area to avoid issues with wildlife.
  - The homeowner shared that they responded to a request after check-out but did not receive any emails related to property concerns during your stay.

  This was a perfect cabin for our family. There was enough space and had everything we needed. We had our space and it was surrounded by beautiful trees. Great stay! :)
