  Absolutely beautiful cabin with spectacular views in a wonderful neighborhood with wildlife every where. Probably my favorite place I’ve ever stayed! Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay during our hunt in Capitan. The nearby town of Ruidoso had so much to see and do, I wish we would have had longer here. Would definitely love to come back and stay longer one day.

  I appreciate your nice review. We work hard to make it a comfortable get away. The view of Sierra Blanca and watching the wildlife is the very thing that attracted us to this little house in the woods. Alto and Ruidoso are wonderful, relaxing places to visit.

  The stay was adequate at best. The best part was convenience to the Alto Club and its golf courses. We were there to play golf after all. The big problem we encountered was that the Directtv was not available and as the renter I was not advised of this deficiency at booking. Not good for the Ryder Cup weekend and college football. Took 2 days to get functioning properly. Lots of toing and froeing with agent while we were on the golf course. Not optimal. A final word of advice, do not get to the property for the first time after dark. The road and the entrance to the driveway are tricky. Particularly so if one is coming from the Alto clubhouse.

  When this was brought to my attention, we restored our DirecTV for you. This is is now available for all our future guests. With the smart TVs, anything can be watched, but this is much easier. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience.
  
  We also want all potential guests to understand we are at 7400 feet, and the driveway is steep. If you have any issues driving in the dark, we are available for assistance.

  We really enjoyed our stay. It was so quiet and very peaceful. The house was clean and there are great views of the mountain from the deck.
