    So I want to leave an honest review. Starting out that IF everything in the house worked this would be a five star review. The home was clean, adorable, well taken care of, and had everything we needed. Including multiple bedrooms and bathrooms which were great as we were in Wilmington for our daughter’s wedding.

    However, the air conditioning for the upstairs was broken. We received an email en route there was an issue they were working on. Tyler, the property manager was amazing the whole time. Great communication. Empathy. He was by far the best part of this experience and home.

    We requested 2 fans before we arrived. Those were present. We did not realize that it would be 89 degrees in the home upstairs. (We have pics). The fans did not help at all, and there were 2 bedrooms needing to be used and one bathroom up there. We requested 2 window air conditioners delivered, said we would install them. Owner refused. Gave us a 15% discount for the second night. When it wasn’t fixed again the third night gave us another 15% discount. We had to go get our own window air conditioner to make the rooms usable. No discounts for the first night of 89 degrees. (Which at this point the money didn’t matter we were begging them to help us). ($223 total refund after 3 nights of 89 degrees in 2 of the needed bedrooms).

    2 HVAC employees came on 2 different days. Could not fix it.

    We got a text they were installing a temporary ac for upstairs. They did not do that.

    The beautiful wedding was held. We made it work with people sleeping on the couch instead of two of the 4 bedrooms we paid for. (Until we got our own window ac’s) Then the people who were sleeping upstairs left the day before check out. They were done.

    Disappointed is an understatement. What could have been fixed with 2 small window air conditioners was met with stubbornness and 15% discounts. We were there for our daughter’s wedding. Dealing with his was unnecessary. The owner totally dropped the ball. They just needed to do the right thing and get some window air conditioners.

    If you are going to rent your home, you need to have a back up plan. The 15% discounts would have paid for the window AC. Blaming the hvac company gets you nowhere when in the moment you didn’t help your current guests. We had paid in full for 5 nights. Finding a different home that would fit us all last minute was not even a possibility due to the events we had for the week.

    If only they would have done the right thing.

    This house is perfectly located, cozy and comfortable. We had more space than we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the front porch for early morning coffee and evening cocktails. The AC was top notch, the kitchen well appointed and beds comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

  • A fantastic graduation Weekend

    This home was the perfect place for our family to gather for my daughter's college graduation. It is so charming and we had no problem having plenty of comfortable space for our large family. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this place. Well appointed with everything you need and so charming. Located right by the cargo district and close to all our events on UNCW campus. Being able to come back to the home at the end of a long and exciting day and sit on the front porch and visit is a memory that will certainly stay with all of us. Now that we have a child living full time in Wilmington, this will be our home away from home!!!
