• Family Fun on the River

  The house was larger than expected, well stocked, and very clean(including outdoor spaces). We had a party of 12 people and it never once felt crowded. There is plenty of space to spread out with lots of activities. The kids enjoyed ping pong downstairs while the guys enjoyed playing pool upstairs. The women mostly hung out on the beautiful wrap around deck to chat. The kids made s’mores at the fire pit in the yard. Every morning the adults enjoyed coffee on the deck listening to the river. The river is a bit of a hike to get to but totally worth it and the walk got easier for us each day. Just bring a soft cooler, chairs, and water shoes or whatever you need to hang for a while. There is a path to the right of the house that made the walk easier for my older parents. You can also take in views from the top of the stairs without going all the way down. The river was magical! We saw otters, geese, and deer. It’s pretty shallow so we were able to put our camping chairs in the water and sit. We even walked around in the water looking for pretty rocks. The house is close to Murphy which has a lot of restaurants and shops so it’s a great location. Lake Chatuge and Fires Creek were super fun places to visit too. The owners are very sweet and helpful. You can feel the love in this home. It’s like going to grandma’s house. It has such a warm cozy vibe and we could tell this is a special place for the owners as well. My family said this was the best house we’ve ever rented (and we’ve rented multiple beautiful homes on the river). We made such special memories. We would stay here again! :)

  The property was lovely and clean! Everything went smoothly with the communications and the arrival & departure. Gwendy was amazing. Even to the point where I’d left some important items behind (bag of proprietary chargers + important legal documents I didn’t know I’d even brought with me) and she went out of her way to double & triple check the property to make sure I got all of my belongings shipped back to me! Gwendy, YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER! 1000/10 would stay again at this property!

• Best Airbnb and Host!

  The Airbnb is beautiful! It was clean, organized, and had a rustic elegance touch to it. The view to the lake is gorgeous but most importantly the host Gwendy is amazing. Sweetest host ever!

  What a perfect place to relax… 😌

  Everything was well thought of. When I needed something it was right there. We all had such a good time visiting. It had two kitchens, three dining areas, and numerous places to congregate. The soothing sounds from the river made you want to just lay back and soak up the peacefulness. We all had a places to rest, play, and have fun. We really appreciated the careful attention and cleanliness of the home. You could tell it was well loved. 🥰
