The cottage is fine, no issues. However, the lake access is terrible. If you want to swim, fish, kayak or even just float which is what we wanted, there is no good water access. There is no dock, no walkway, no chairs, just basically a big hill down to a weedy mud hole.

Hi, we’re glad to hear the cottage itself worked well for your stay! We appreciate your thoughts and want to help clarify a few things for future guests:
-A dock isn’t listed as an amenity, and the photos on our listing show the natural yard and lake border.
-The lake has a natural shoreline and a softer bottom, which may not be ideal for every type of lake activity.
We’ll take another look at how we present lake access in the listing to make sure it sets the right expectations. Thanks again for your feedback and for helping us improve the guest experience!
This was the perfect getaway for my family and me. It was quiet and offered us a chance to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life to focus on God's beautiful creation! The house is enormous and provides a substantial amount of space. The driveway was smaller than expected, and you'll miss it if you aren't paying attention, but it wasn't a problem to turn around. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed it immensely. The location is convenient to multiple hiking trails and fishing spots. The lake itself was great for floating and kayaking at the end of the day. The house layout really suited us well as everyone had a place to retreat too. Amenities were excellent. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed it very much, perfect spot on the lake and close to hiking trails and other amenities. A great retreat!
