4/5 Overall- we really liked this place, but plan accordingly. The location was beautiful and secluded. The place was stocked with the basics for the kitchen and linens. There’s games, a record player, fire pit and hiking outside. Unfortunately, the last night the power went out. I felt that we conserved energy well (it’s a solar powered system). Due to this we were unable to take showers or have running water on the last night of our stay. Kyle was responsive and empathetic to our situation but ultimately nothing could be done.

5/5 We loved our stay at Deer Lodge. It was a beautiful setting and exactly what we needed for a relaxing stay. Our host Kyle was very helpful and easily accessible if and when we had any questions. We will definitely be back!

No place like it on earth
5/5 When we booked this place I knew it’d be unique, but I had no idea it would be its own adventure paradise right outside the door!
If you never wanted to leave the property, you wouldn’t have to, as the waterfall, river, landscape, trail and all that surrounds you are plenty to keep you occupied. I’m rather bummed we didn’t utilize the tent! Maybe next time.
Watching my son completely immerse himself in the outdoors for 4 days searching for salamanders and crawfish, swimming and sliding among waterfalls and hiking in some of the most gorgeous areas we’ve ever been in made for a very memorable summer vacation.
Highly recommend this spot if the outdoors are calling, your needs are simple, and adventure is what you crave.
