2/5 Beyond the broken dining chairs and barstools that made it impossible for us to safely sit down and eat as a family, the general cleanliness of the home was unacceptable, especially given the fact that we paid for cleaning services as part of our reservation.Overall, the general cleanliness left a lot to be desired. It was a parent that the absolute minimum had been done. Beyond that, there were things like: 1. an open pack of cigarettes underneath one of the bunkbeds where my grandchildren slept. 2. What appeared to be BB’s on the floor of the other downstairs bedroom. 3. General trash along with weeks of dust under beds . 4. Mold actively growing in the downstairs shower. 5. Dirty/Greasy pans left inside the oven. in the garage refrigerator (which we tried to use because several of the kitchen refrigerator racks were missing. 6. Bits of food and broken stone in the countertop. 7. A picnic table that you, yourself, described as “use at your own risk”. 8. Literally crusty spoons in the silverware drawer (to the point where we ended up eating out for every meal rather than use that kitchen). 9. A broken basketball frame with a dangerously sharp metal edge so the kids could not go near it. 10. Broken video gameThese certainly were not all of the issues found but I am getting angry again thinking about how our family golf outing was spoiled by a lack of upkeep. Have photos but too large. How dare they charge for cleaning when it was so obviously not done. Never again.
