New Orleans is calling and you should answer with a stay at this rare 100-year-old home! This exquisite vacation rental has been meticulously designed with the traveler's every need in mind and boasts 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a formal living area featuring a grand piano, a courtyard, and so much more. After a day spent exploring NOLA, return home to take a dip in the private pool, cozy up by the outdoor fireplace, or enjoy a glass of sweet tea on one of the covered porches.
EXPLORE NOLA: Mid-City Market (0.6 miles), Bayou St. John (1 mile), Bourbon Street (3 miles), Preservation Hall (3 miles), Jackson Square (3 miles), Audubon Aquarium (3 miles)
VENUES: Caesars Superdome (3 miles), Champions Square (4 miles), Smoothie King Center (4 miles)
MUSEUMS + THEATERS: Louisana Children's Museum (0.9 miles), New Orleans Museum of Art (1 mile), The Historic New Orleans Collection (3 miles), Orpheum Theater (3 miles), Saenger Theatre (3 miles), New Orleans Pharmacy Museum (3 miles), The National WWII Museum (4 miles)
AIRPORT: Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (12 miles)
the small dorm room freezer is on the back porch and the microwave is in a closet. If you must cook, bring paper plates, utensils, and cups for convenience.
Much like the rest of the home, the bathrooms need a refresher. The primary bathroom has a leaking toilet (with a towel on the floor to soak up the water), and the hall bathroom has dated and peeling wallpaper.
Bring your own Wi-Fi extender if you want to use your devices on the porch or near the pool.
As stated earlier, the location of the property makes it perfect for a stay in NOLA, providing a safe and quiet place after a day out. Just lower your expectations, and you’ll be fine.

Location, Location, Location! This house is in a beautiful, safe and quiet area directly across from the park and the house is super cool with tons of amazing decorations. We took the streetcar into the French Quarter, which we got after about a 5 minute walk. I took a lovely early morning walk to the Caft Du Monde in the park every morning for a cup of coffee. The furnishings and supplies were great. Sara was super nice and accomodating. The house is huge, and is very old so it has some quirkiness that we loved...old push button light switches, etc. So don't expect state-of-the-art luxuries, but it is super fun, and made our New Orleans experience so cool. The pool was awesome for when it was hot (which is pretty much always), but the house A/C was more than able to keep the house cool. All and all, probably the best VRBO experience we have had (aside from an initial mix-up where Sara may have thought we were robbing her... but that was quickly resolved, and actually pretty funny in the end). Highly recommended.

It took me a few days to write our review as I am still dazed & in awe by the character and charm of this beautiful home! We were celebrating 35 years of our women's travel group and wanted to go big. This home did not disappoint in any way. The property was even more beautiful than the photographs. Every room told a story and there were vintage furnishings and fixtures throughout. Butler's waiting room anyone? This beautiful historic property is a treasure and our host Sara was the jewel in the crown. Her kindness and southern charm made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this spacious historic property and look forward to a return visit at any time!
