Family Getaway
5/5 Clean comfortable quiet. A very nice place to spend some quiet time with family and friends around the fire pit or in the hot tub. Also close to sights at Natural Bridge State Park and Red River Gorge.

A Pleasant Getaway!
4/5 We truly enjoyed our stay in Beattyville, particularly in this cabin. It was comfortable and clean and provided our family of 5 (6 if you include our daughter's pup) with enough space where we were able to enjoy our together time, yet get away from each other when we needed a break (and let's be real- THAT HAPPENS ON FAMILY VACATIONS!).
A few simple suggestions...1.) A broom. We couldn't find a broom/ cleaning supplies to readily use throughout our stay. We didn't search HARD, but maybe this addition would be beneficial. 2.) The handles on the pots in the kitchen are very loose. I looked for a screwdriver but couldn't find one to "tune them up". Maybe a tool kit for tiny repairs like that? These are NOT criticisms of the facility, just suggestions that we're making.
Upon arrival the cabin is CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL! It's organized, it's ready for guests, it's new and fresh feeling! Our kids kayaked, they played soccer, they played badminton...and they're young adults! There's plenty to do!
Guests- don't be turned off by the drive to the cabin- it is a bit curvey and scary (imo). We came from flat country roads, so single lane roads on hills with dented in guardrails scream DANGER to me! :) If I can make it, anyone can!
If you need a relaxing place to call home for a week/ weekend, check this place out!

5/5 Everything was nice and clean. Everything advertised was there. We had a blast kayaking on the river. Tons of cooking supplies. We had a great time and will be back.
