If you need a place for people to sleep and that’s it, this will do fine. The beds were pretty hard, the kitchen lacked basic necessities (only 6 full sized plates, no wine or bottle openers, no colander, other kitchen utensils missing). Bathroom had no issues. I hosted 10 people for dinner and it was a struggle - I had people eating out of coffee mugs. Definitely not worth the price, at 750 per night you’d be better served at a hotel. I get that the VRBO market is insane for football weekends but at least at a hotel you get comfy beds and you can find a plate if you need one. This neighborhood in South Bend isn’t the nicest/safest historically but we ran into no trouble.

We missed a few things in the listing.
* No AC in the bedrooms. There is a portable one in the kitchen, but since this is an older house, the kitchen is accessed through a doorway, so even with the fan running, it was hard to get cold air to circulate throughout the house. There are fans in the bedrooms, but they were still unable to keep the bedrooms cool.
*The oven was not working. It is a good thing we didn't plan on cooking there.
*The bathroom door doesn't really close all the way, and no lock on it.
*Steep stairs to get into the home.
*Just park on the street. That is better than the back parking and trying to remember to leave the lights on. Plus, the entry lock is on the front door.
*There is a weird board in the living room...don't walk barefoot and trip.
*Coffee maker, but no coffee, just tea.
*No dishwasher, but that is ok since we only used glasses.
This is an older home, which is fine. But it was a fixer-upper that had had lipstick added. Beds are just foam, so you'd better like a firm bed and spider webs everywhere. Additionally, you need to connect everything from the TV to the fans. Nothing was plugged in.
The positive was that the neighborhood is quiet.
But we feel we overpaid for this unit. and don't recommend for families or older people who have issues with stairs.
We had a nice stay. About a mile walk to campus, but a nice walk down Eddy st.
