Needs some TLC
3/5 The pond in the backyard was amazing at night and so peaceful. There were daily visits from a family of turkeys and deer. The property was very quiet and it’s located close to downtown Blue Ridge. It was one of the most peaceful stays I have had and I’ve rented a lot of properties. This property was a value for the rental cost. Now on to the not so great aspects of the house. This property needs some TLC. As others have stated the shower requires a large step down into the shower. The backyard looked as if it hadn’t been mowed in some time, the private balcony has some rot showing. The property needs a deep cleaning and the porch could definitely use a pressure washing and blown off. The overall vibe is that the house has just been left unattended for a while. This house has great potential but it just needs a little TLC.
Great location
3/5 We had a pleasant stay here at Hidden Pond. Although as we arrived it did look neglected as the grass was high and things were grown up around the house. The porches were not swept and clean. The inside was clean and tidy. There were not enough bath linens for the 3 days. My biggest issue was the bed and the bath were on different levels! Overall it was quiet and peaceful but we really couldn't enjoy the outdoors because of the high grass and lack of gas for the fire pit. The location was beautiful and perfect as we were interested in visiting Blue Ridge. We loved the town!

Idyllic setting. Comfortable stay
5/5 Well appointed cabin with comfortable bed and nicely equipped. Some quirks; the shower is sunken a out 2 feet below floor and requires a large step down. The stairs to floor two with the bedroom are not standard height. Caution: we did not see any smoke alarms. Porches are inviting. Very scenic views. Very nice stay.

Relaxing stay
4/5 The pond is the most relaxing view! We watched dragonflies and even saw deer. The cabin has a nice large comfortable bed, and a cozy living area. The kitchen is well stocked. I only gave four stars due to the very odd shower, narrow stairs, dust, cobwebs, and the two spiders we killed. One odd things are the blocks of styrofoam that are in the back yard. They look like rocks and concrete slabs.
