• Nice house; not ready to be a rental

  The home itself was nice, but it was not ready to be rented at the time of our stay.

  On the day of our arrival (4:15P), the home manager called and said she had no record of our reservation and the home was not clean (check in was supposed to be 3P). She informed me that she would need to cancel our stay. She agreed to clean while we waited. At 9P we went back to the house and she finished around 9:30P. We did not have access to the unit for 5 hours after arriving. We were offered to wait in another 1 room unit but this was not an option for us as we had a 6 month old and 4 year old.

  The next morning the homeowner asked us not to contact the home manager because she was overwhelmed and stressed, and were told to reach out directly to the homeowner instead.

  The listing stated that the home had a washer and dryer, towels, and kitchen essentials. The kitchen was very under-equipped for a family stay. There was no washer or dryer available. Cookware included only one small pot, one large pan, a mini pan, and a mini pot; nothing large enough to boil pasta. There was only one cutting knife, and the tip was broken. There were no measuring cups or spoons initially (these were brought the next day), no can opener, no baking sheets, only two coffee cups, and no extra blankets for air mattress or sofa.

  We requested access to a washer and dryer, measuring tools, large pots, and additional towels (there were only three towels provided for a family of eight due to the cleaning debacle). The homeowner did bring additional sheets and towels, as well as measuring cups and spoons, but was unable to provide the other requested items.

  Additionally, the fireplace did not work during our stay.

  The beds were comfortable and the home was spacious and conveniently located to all the Atlanta activities.

  While the home has potential, it needs to be better prepared and stocked before being listed as a vacation rental, especially for families. If these issues are handled, this rental is a good option for large families or groups visiting the Atlanta area.

  After talking with Evolve, we did receive the cleaning fee back. While we appreciate the items brought by the homeowner the following day, we never would have booked a home knowing there was not a washer and dryer or kitchen items needed to cook for a large family.
