  • Amazing Cabin Retreat!

    5/5

Our family came up to the Blue Ridge mountains during Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It is truly an escape into the mountains and we were blown away with how lovely the cabin and property was. The view of the mountains was beautiful and we were still able to see some of the leaves change color this late in November. The hosts thought of everything so that all you need to bring is food/drinks. They generously supply you with firewood for the fire pit outside (I believe available for certain months of the year) which was so convenient for our family. The hosts also provide you with plenty of the basics so you don’t need to worry about restocking things like hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc.. We also loved the s’mores station and abundance of coffee and hot chocolate. The cabin felt so cozy and was decorated so well (an adorable black bear theme). I liked the attention to details such as having plenty of throw blankets, and even night lights in the rooms because it gets really dark at night. The location is so close to everything from downtown Blue Ridge where there are plenty of local shops and restaurants, as well as a train station, to u-pick apple farms and more. You can also drive about 45 minutes to see the Amicalola Falls which is worth the trip. We also saw deer in the evening at the cabin which was neat for the kiddos to see. We will be back and highly recommend this cabin for a mountain getaway. Thank you Colin and Jenny for your hospitality!!

    5/5

This Blue Ridge cabin was one of the best locations for visiting the Blue Ridge area.

The pictures do not do justice to the cabin.

We had use of many amenities including a gas grill with utensils, hot tub, Roku TV, washer, dryer, and a foosball game upstairs. The king bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable. The cabin is located just far enough up the mountain to feel secluded with a view of the mountains.

We seen a deer each morning on the road by the cabin. Love the complementary s’more set up. The kitchen had all the seasoning that I needed for cooking, also pots, and baking pans. Thanks for all the extras provided.

Places near by that we visited: Swan Drive-In, Sugar Creek Dirt Track, many waterfalls, Swinging Bridge, Mercier Orchard, and several wineries.

Over all a great vacation and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

  • Just as shown and the view is spectacular!

Lovely, well-kept cabin, spotlessly clean and adorably decorated; even better than the photos. Beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, perfect for relaxing while having a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. Peaceful area where you are far enough from neighbors to have privacy but not completely in the woods alone. About a mile up the mountain from the main highway on a gravel one-lane road. The owners are pleasant, responsive and respectful. Lots of hiking in the area or short ride into Blue Ridge for restaurants/shops or Mercier Orchards and short ride to the quaint town of Ellijay (even stopped in the Sasquatch Museum). Plenty to do or just relax, enjoy the cabin and do nothing! My son also enjoyed the hot tub and we had deer in the evening, pretty song birds in the morning and a couple turkeys in the yard. Definitely recommend!
