What a horrible experience my family had. We got the place and nothing started off right. We were told to check in at the lobby. Waited 35 minutes and still no one to check in with. We had to use the restroom in the lobby and it was absolutely disgusting. Finally decided to go upstairs to our room since nobody was coming to the lobby desk.
We got to our room and was told to use the last 4 of the phone number we checked in with. Well it didn't work. There were 2 locks on the door so we tried both. Still no luck. Texted the number we had to see if they would answer. No answer. So then decided to call the company we reserved through. They gave me 4 other codes to try. Still didn't work. I asked 2 times to make sure I was doing it right and which lock that I was supposed to be using. Still didn't work. I tried multiple times my son tried multiple times even tried on the other lock just in case. Still no luck. They put me on hold while they tried to figure it out. Then finally came back and said they would call me right back. 20 minutes later still no call back. We finally put all our luggage back in the car and was going to go find another room. They texted me back 45 minutes later and gave me 1 more code to try. My son ran up and tried it before we unloaded everything and it worked. So we unloaded again and got everything in the room.
They later told me sorry the owner said the lock was broken so that's why it didn't work. They didn't think to tell me that before I got there and that it wasn't the last 4 of my phone number like you said it was. You knew this entire time. Absolutely ridiculous. This was just the beginning to a bunch of other things that were broken or non existent.
Back sliding glass door wouldn't open. The entire reason why I chose this room was for the patio to sit and enjoy the ocean. Nope couldn't open it.
No blankets for the pull out coach.
Cabinets falling off the hinge
Parking pass not where it said it was
90% of the elevators didn't work
This doesn't even include some of the little stuff that I just decided to let go. I think the owner needs to stay in the room a night and see all the little things that need to be fixed before you allow 1 more person to stay there.
From the owner: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustrating start to your stay. We would like to clarify a few points.
- Regarding the lock issue, we feel this was genuinely unacceptable, and we are sorry that your family had to deal with this stress. We have since replaced the keypads with newer models, which will allow our guest contact to provide remote access instantly, so this will never happen again.
- All guest check-ins are handled through the guest contact and not the front lobby.
- Additional blankets for the pullout are available upon request.
- The elevators have been an inconvenience for all, but the good news is that all of the new cabs have been installed, and they are fully operational.
We have spent the winter fully renovating our units with new furniture, appliances, bedding, TVs, and we have repaired cabinets, replaced the sliding door and grout, and so much more. Yesterday's experience is gone, and today is completely different, night and day! We're ready to provide you with the best experience we can.
It was awful experience. A lot of broken things. Dirty rooms and towels. We was bitten by something in our bedroom. Awful vacation

It was a wonderful time at Daytona. We wish the pools or any amenities were open but they were shut down due to previous storms. A lot of construction and it was loud most of the day. Room was spacious and host was very hospitable.

"Thank you so much for the kind words — we're really glad your family had a wonderful time in Daytona! We completely understand the frustration around the amenities and construction noise. The resort had sustained significant storm damage and was undergoing major repairs to the pool deck, indoor pools, elevators, and roof all at once — not ideal timing, and we're sorry it impacted your stay.
The good news is the work is done! One outdoor pool is back open, and all indoor amenities are fully restored — indoor pool, hot tubs, gym, and sauna. We've also completely updated our unit with new furniture, appliances, bedding, and more. We'd love to have you back!"
