• New rental growing pains

  The place was very dirty when we arrived. There was visible sand in the furniture, the floors were sticky and turned our feet/socks black, and the counters had visible dust and dirt. We had to clean the entire place right after arriving and even had to buy a Swiffer mop. The comforters on the beds were also stained. The owner did not even suggest sending in a cleaning crew to mend the situation yet when we requested a partial refund of the cleaning fee, it was rejected. Also, there is not a lot of privacy in this house as there were only sheer curtains in the living room and no blinds at all in the back of the house. The bedrooms also do not have blinds or sufficient black out curtains which made it hard to sleep past 7am even though we were on vacation and were hoping for more rest. We did solve this by taping garbage bags to the windows.

  I will not be booking through Evolve again due to the lack of sufficient customer support and lack of communication from the property manager.
