• Lovely Stay in Grand Lake

  This was the best place for a large group in Grand Lake! It was super close to town, had beautiful big windows, plenty of parking space and beds, and all the amenities we needed. I left some items and didn't get a response but they weren't super expensive so I'm not too worried, just to note that it's not the most active communication. Otherwise, it was a 10/10 stay and would love to stay again!!

• Great lake house for families

  Great house for families with teens. Plenty of common and private spaces. The house was very clean and the bathrooms were spotless. The billiard, foosball and ping-pong tables caught our eye when we booked and were used every day we were there. The location was great. Short walk to town and easy drive to the closest "boat" launch between Grand and Shadow lakes for our paddle boards. The deck was perfect to relax on and get some sun with a large grill (plenty of propane). The hot tub was clean and not inundated with chlorine. And the owners were very quick to reply via text or email. The only minor issue we had was that some pans, glasses and utensils were found dirty in the cabinets and draws, presumably by the previous renter. We just threw them in the dishwasher, problem solved. We would recommend that the non-stick pans be replaced as they show lots of use. Overall it was a great stay, and we'd come back again.

  The overall experience was great. I also have vacation rentals at the lake where we live, so I'm familiar with rentals. We had a great time. The home could not have been more perfect in terms of location and size it is a beautiful home. One thing I would suggest is the property manager needs to look at little closer at the deep cleaning required in rentals. Especially with the cost of the cleaning that we paid on the contract. There was a big black trash bag by front door when we arrived and the weeds around the back patio were not nice to the eyes, kitchen island was not wiped down from previous tenants lots of dust on furniture around home. Our trip was fantastic, the back deck is a wonderful place to relax.

• Pictures are falsely advertising property-huge disappointment-cleaned instead of relaxed-not a vacay

  We were looking forward to our stay in celebration of our daughter's graduation with family and friends. Upon arrival, the property was in terrible condition. It had not even been cleaned up properly from the last occupants with trash and clothes strewn about, furniture all over, and the hot tub smelling so overpowering and chemically it made us physically ill to even go close to it. We were not able to use it until the second night of our stay. We spent the better part of the first evening and second day cleaning the shared spaces including the kitchen, refrigerator, and dishes, picking up remnants from the quick turnover from the previous guests, locating the furniture pictured in the advertisement which were missing or broken. I then began taking pictures of everything, realizing that we needed proof that all of this was here at our arrival. The entire ordeal was nothing but stressful. I reached out directly to the property owner after she sent us an email asking for our attention specific things other property guests had neglected. I promptly replied and stated we were looking forward to our stay. When I contacted her again, she responded quickly until she realized I was describing what a disaster her vacation property was. She offered to reimburse the cleaning fee, which I have yet to receive. I made her aware that this far beyond a lack of cleaning, the her property had fallen into disrepair and whomever the property manager was was not maintaining the home, nor the cleaning crew doing a professional job. Not only was it filthy, but there were many broken furniture items, holes in walls, stains on the carpets, cushions, tears, bedroom with broken furniture sets, leaking shower heads, screen doors were torn, blinds were cracked and broken, paint on walls were gross and dirty as well as drawn on, outdoor furniture was stained and falling apart. I have never encountered a vacation rental like this. Paying $1000 per night, I expected this home to be so much more and was I completely shocked by what we walked into. The property owner ceased contact after I sent her all of the photos I sent her proving all I had described. I know she viewed the images because she opened the Google folder I sent to her, yet never replied as to her intent to resolve the matter. I hope she is able to remedy her property for future guests. If you have this property booked in the near future, please be weary. It will not look like the pictures!
