• Sort of gross but clean

  Well, the location was excellent. Near Granby and Grand Lake, very beautiful. The condo itself was clean but super old. I've never seen decor like that except in movies about project housing. There is wood paneling around the bathtub area that was gross with paint peeling / fading from the boards, a popcorn ceiling, a cage around the light fixture, dark, hideous stone fire place. It also smelled old. The walls were thin as well so you could also smell other things seeping through the walls. However, it was clean.

  The actual lodge itself (Silvercreek Inn) is a 5 star dump. The hallways had all kinds of weird smells including smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking facility. The carpet was disgusting, cobwebs on the ceiling, etc.

  I pulled into the parking lot, I thought I was in a auto junk yard. There were broken down cars up on stilts. There were people in the parking lots working on their trucks. I didn't even want to park my car back there. So I am surprised that the place is still standing, not sure why they don't just tear it down. So I am giving this place two stars because it was fairly clean and because of the location.

  Thank you for your feedback — we’re glad you enjoyed the location, noted the cleanliness, and recognized the phenomenal value of staying in the mountains during peak foliage season. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your comments, and they wanted to share the following:
  - We purchased the condo less than six months ago and are already in the process of updating the bathroom and removing the original paneling once our contractor is available.
  - The carpet is new within the last year, and the ceiling fan with light is modern and fully functional via remote.
  - While the building is non-smoking, we unfortunately don’t have control over other residents’ behavior in shared areas, but we’ve passed concerns to the building management.
  - We’re aware of the aging parking lot and understand the frustration — a full repaving is scheduled for 2026 through the HOA.

  The condo was very nice and conveniently located. The pictures were exactly the same. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of extra bedding. Everything that you needed was in the condo. The pool and four hot tubs were a nice addition at the end of the day. Overall a great place and we would stay again.
