  I've stayed at many properties using Vrbo & Airbnb, and this is the only horrible experience I've had! To keep this short as possible, I will summarize the best I can. Upon my arrival to the property, the front door lock with the numeric code was not working, I had to wait over an hour & a half to get into the unit, after driving over five hours to get there. Owner states it was working the day prior, I don't think so! Once I was in, front entry floor area was dirty with dirt and grass, & it smelled. Master bedroom bed was a mess, linen and blankets were balled up in a pile. Flute for fireplace didn't work, & we found out after a few minutes when the fireplace engulfed in flames even more then what it already was. Downstairs neighbor unit was getting a lot of the smoke, along with our unit being filled with smoke. We had to open all windows and doors as cold as it was, to air everything out. The tv's didn't work, all the channels kept buffering and the pixels on the tv's were all messed up. I brought all this up to the owner Kathleen Ferguson via email and advised her that I had pictures of everything I was mentioning. She replied to me with what seemed to be an insincere, fake, shallow apology. I then replied to her and I advised her that I wasn't seeking a big refund but that something should be removed from the full amount I paid, reflecting all the issues that were wrong with her property that I had mentioned. I haven't heard back from her since and it's been over a week, I doubt I'll hear from her again. That's ok, lesson learned on my part regarding any future stays at any properties her name is associated with. Also, I wrote this so that anyone looking to stay at this property in the future, knows what I had to go through when I stayed here.
