Amazing!
5/5 We had a great time - the house is clean and perfect! And Karen was the best host ever. Super responsive, nice and she even put graduation decorations up for our graduate! I would highly recommend!
3/5 Overall, my stay was okay. But the living room was too cold at evening due to poor A/C heat air distribution. Also, microwave/kitchen extractor and additional small microwave oven needs be fixed or replaced. Door of small one stays locked and had to unplugged it to unlocked it. The other was not powering on, and didn't bother much since had the small one. We also didn't use kitchen much, except for breakfasts. Other amenities were okay for a cottage. Neighborhood was paceful and beds were comfy and slept very well.Not a bad stay, but not the best.

Cozy cottage
5/5 Comfortable cozy cottage in a quiet neighborhood. Close to Bear Village shops and restaurants. Hiking and biking trails nearby for the summer. Karen, the host is a wealth of information about the area.
An Amazing and Restful Stay in Big Bear!
5/5 This was our second time staying in this adorable cottage in Big Bear. We returned because of its wonderful location to the lake (Lake is now full!) and the Village with their many stores and yummy restaurants, quite and easy location, the upstairs outside deck and the over all comfort of this cottage.
BUT the main reason was because this cottage is so welcoming, cozy, has all the amenities needed for a great stay, the personal attention to detail and the wonderful “goodie” basket waiting for you in the kitchen with snacks each time you check in.
We have stayed at a lot of rentals/AirBnb etc. and this cottage is perfect with its decor, kitchen and bath amenities, Keurig coffee machine with pods, super clean (and I am very picky about that point), sheets soft, towels absorbent, useable closet space, charging areas in each bedroom for your devices, good water pressure for showers, nice seating areas on both decks & front porch and if in need of personal help with anything just a phone call away!
Also, even though our stay was in this very hot CA summer of 2023 we had no issues. . .we opened up all the windows (which all had screens), turned on the cooling fans in each room and it was absolutely perfect, especially at night listening to the crickets and owls hooting (that is why you get away from LA to Big Bear is for that reason). It was also so nice to hear the birds chirping outside and the smell of pines while making breakfast, sitting in the rockers on the front deck with coffee or reading my book sitting in the loft area upstairs while looking out onto the trees. . .almost like having your own tree house.
As you have read, there are many wonderful things about this cottage and my husband and I will continue to book this place whenever we head to Big Bear!!
PS: Winter at this cottage with the snow in winter is amazing and magical. . .we are booking for that time also!
Great Place
5/5 Family friendly, clean and short drive to places to eat. Easy in and out. Kids had yard to play in snow. Property manager very friendly and helpful.
