  • Spring Training

    Home is close to the spring training site for the Texas Rangers. Plenty of restaurants and businesses are within minutes. Been staying here and will always try in the future!

  • This stay fell a bit short of what we expect from VRBO

    We have stayed at many properties, and I have never felt the need to leave a negative review, until now. The first day of our stay we discovered that we had no hot water. I immediately called Jennifer, the house manager, and luckily we had men with us who could figure out how to re-start the hot water heater. Jennifer advised that it was brand new and didn't know why it wasn't working. She advised us to re-start it if it went out again. It went out EVERY SINGLE DAY of our stay. Between my husband and brother in law, they had to re-light the pilot and restart the hot water heater every day. I did advise Jennifer of this by calling her three more times and she said a new one was coming on Saturday, the day we were leaving. This should have been remedied immediately. We also had issues with heat for the hot tub. When you pay an additional 403.00 for pool and hot tub heat for one week, you expect heat. Jennifer had us drain and re-fill the hot tub. Again, we don't mind helping out but we were on vacation, and shouldn't have been required to take care of these things. Jennifer finally came to the house and re-set the hot tub heat on Wednesday so it worked for us for three days. The house itself is pretty but the essentials were pretty skimpy.

    We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The only drawback was the cost to heat the pool (which must be paid for the entire stay). Suggestion would be to provide a solar coverl to help warm it without cost. Otherwise the property was perfect for us!

  • Terrible Experience Renting This House

    We had arranged in advance for the pool to be heated. (Fortunately we had not paid the extra fee in advance). The house manager, Jennifer, told us it was 'heating up nicely." When we arrived on a Wednesday afternoon, the pool temperature was 68 degrees. Hours later the temperature had not changed. After a long day of travel, a few hours after arriving we wanted to take showers. There was no hot water in the house! We contacted Jennifer and it took her four hours to come out to fix the water heater (11:00 PM which was 1:00 AM body time--no showers that day!). Based on the description of the property you might think one can have both a heated pool (for an extra fee) and use of the hot tub at the same time. WRONG! It is either/or. On the second day we went around and around with Jennifer, wasting a lot of our time, on trying to get the pool heated. Even though the heat pump was set for 95 degrees, the actual temperature never got above 70. We finally gave up and switched the power to the hot tub. Hours later, the water temperature in the hot tub had not increased. Again, Jennifer did not know what was wrong. Later that evening, it finally fixed itself. We had use of the hot tub on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday afternoon we wanted to take showers before going out, but again, no hot water in the house! It took Jennifer many hours to come fix it again. On Sunday, our last full day there, we wanted to use the hot tub but the display said "SUS" which, after a Google search, meant operation was suspended due to a problem. Jennifer was contacted about this, but she never responded or came out to fix it. One other note regarding the pool, in a handwritten note left for us when we arrived, she said (regarding heating the pool), "You may adjust valves to try and heat faster. Some tricks work and don't work." So renters are supposed to play around with valves!!? What valves!!? How can you tell a renter to play around with some valves to get the pool to heat up? Terrible management and an overall horrible experience.

    Hi Bruce, we take guest feedback seriously, and we’re sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet expectations. After reviewing your comments with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:
    - We can confirm that we responded to each of your concerns as quickly as possible, including addressing the water heater late at night and returning the next day to replace a part when stores reopened.
    - The pool and hot tub run on the same heating system, meaning only one can be heated at a time, which is standard for this type of setup.
    - The "SUS" error on the hot tub display can occur for a few reasons, including safety features that automatically turn the system off after extended use. We attempted to walk you through troubleshooting steps when notified.
    - While pool heat was not paid for, we made multiple trips to the property to assist with the system and explain its functions.
    We understand how important a smooth experience is when traveling, and we appreciate your feedback. We will continue working with the homeowner to ensure guests have clear expectations and a great stay in the future.
