Maybe when I was in my early 20’s…
3/5 My husband and I booked a two night stay here. Upon arrival we were disappointed with the outdoor space. The photos show a beautiful view! What they don’t show is the piles of what looks like debris and/or project materials strewn about the property. Additionally, the rental unit is right next to the owner’s residence and this, in addition to the voice and motion activated camera leaves literally no private outdoor space.
Inside, the unit is really cute. Very well decorated and mostly clean with the exception of some super dusty spots. It had most of the things we needed on site.
Our biggest issues did not surface until bedtime. When we turned out the lights we realized there was an enormous amount of light from the outside coming in. Strings of lights all over the property, with no way to block it from coming in. We tried blankets and towels over the windows which helped a bit, but not nearly enough.
Our biggest issue with the bed itself. When we pulled down the covers, the sheets were completely covered in cat hair. They also had holes in them. We found handlebars attached to each side of the bed left by previous guests. I’m not a prude but it certainly speaks to the amount of attention that was paid by whoever cleaned the space. I’m not sure how they went unnoticed. Finally, the bed was unbearably uncomfortable. The most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, including an inflatable mattress in a tent.
We opted not to stay the second night and just paid for a hotel. So very disappointed.
